Bio:

Born in Sudbury Ontario, I moved to Canada’s first planned community, Don Mills in 1959. It was here that I began my love affair with music. I began playing drums at age twelve, then also played viola and cello throughout high school. Somewhere along the way I was given a guitar. It seemed like everyone I knew played one. It was while attending junior high that I met my lifelong friend and associate Paul Quarrington. After leaving high school, my first job was as Music Director for Studio Lab Theatre’s successful production of “Dionysis in 69”. After a 2 1/2 year stint traveling and playing guitar in Europe I returned to Toronto in 1972 and through a mutual friend, I reconnected with Quarrington. We  began writing songs and soon were performing across Canada as the singer-songwriter duo Quarrington/Worthy. We released a self titled album in 1980 that yielded the #1 AOR hit “Baby and the Blues”  During that time, along with Quarrington (on bass). I served for 5 years as part of the rhythm section for the legendary alt-rock band Joe Hall and the Continental Drift.

When the allure of life on the road faded, I studied electronic music at George Brown College while also doing an apprenticeship to become a piano technician. I set up my own piano shop and began restoring pianos for Heintzman Pianos in 1986 until 1998. Throughout these years music was never far away. During this time I composed music for small video and film productions and was awarded an Ontario Arts Council grant to write a series of songs inspired by Canadian Novels. By 1999 I found myself once again playing live music and writing songs with my pal Paul. This time with the blues/roots band  Porkbelly Futures. Together and with the other members of the band we released 2 albums “Way Past Midnight” and “Porkbelly Futures” .

A third and final Porkbelly CD “The Crooked Road” was released 10 months after the passing of my friend Paul in January 2010 but I hope to help that creative legacy continue to grow. There’s so many songs that we didn’t finish...

And here I am now with this new EP. It's taken a while to get all this up and running but I hope it's thefirst of many.

If anyone chooses to track me down, I can be found wandering the streets of Riverdale in Toronto, where I still reside with the most abiding woman on the planet, my precious Jill and my two terrific kids Megan and Jay.
